IBM presenta tre nuovi server basati sul processore AMD Opteron Quad-Core
AMD annuncia che anche IBM ha reso disponibili 3 nuovi server basati sui processori AMD Opteron Quad-Core.
Progettati per rispondere alle priorità delle aziende in termini di efficienza energetica, performance, scalabilità e virtualizzazione, i server basati sul processore Quad-Core AMD Opteron messi a punto da IBM offrono una piattaforma eccellente dal punto di vista dell'ottimizzazione dei consumi elettrici e particolarmente adatta per i datacenter più esigenti.
IBM ha rinnovato la propria gamma di server rack-mount System x basati sul processore AMD Opteron. L'offerta include il modello x3455, la scelta ideale per applicazioni in campo tecnico e finanziario, il sistema x3655 per implementazioni che richiedono elevate prestazioni in termini di memoria, come ad esempio database, virtualizzazione e Web serving dinamico, e il server x3755 che fa leva sulla Direct Connect Architecture di AMD per velocizzare calcoli tecnici e scientifici.
I clienti enterprise potranno ora scegliere fra 28 piattaforme server OEM basate sul processore Quad-Core AMD Opteron.
